Full shot of ghost and retticello tube shot

Every year in the studio leaves a mark. Some years are about refining form, others about pushing function. 2025 was firmly about function, done in a way that stayed true to the character and intent of Greenbelt Glass.

Last year marked the full introduction of drain tubes and integrated recycling function across the lineup. What began as a practical experiment quickly became one of the most satisfying evolutions we’ve made to date.

By the end of 2025, it was clear these were not temporary features and we’re proud of how seamlessly they integrated into the product lineup. Drain and recycling systems will continue forward as a core option into 2026.

What’s New for 2026: The Hollow Foot Tube

Moving into 2026, we’re expanding not just features, but foundations.

This year introduces the hollow foot tube, offered alongside of the traditional flared foot. Rather than treating the base as dead space, the hollow foot turns it into an active part of the system.

At the core of this design is a down grid perc construction, engineered to fully utilize the additional volume of water. The result is smoother diffusion, stable stacking, and a pull that feels heavy and full rather than light and airy. The added water mass helps keep water cleaner for longer, reducing turbulence and minimizing particulate recirculation during extended use.

The hollow foot is available as a custom option and can be added to any of our current tube designs. Whether you prefer it in place of a traditional flared foot or alongside one, it gives you more flexibility when ordering without changing the overall design.

Carrying Momentum Forward

2025 reinforced that the best changes are often the ones that quietly improve everything around them. The drain and recycling systems did exactly that, and we’re excited to continue refining them rather than moving on prematurely.

The hollow foot tube builds on that same philosophy, using structure more intelligently and allowing form and function to reinforce each other.

As always, every piece remains handmade, deliberate, and rooted in the same values that brought Greenbelt Glass to where it is now. 2026 is not about reinventing what already works. It is about pushing it further. Thank you for your support!
